Abstract: In this paper, the problem of anchoring objects' names from a human lexicon to a robot perceptions is studied. An open problem is to define a good perceptual system supporting ecient anchoring of these symbols. To study this problem, we consider a detection task used and we study and show results from an approach based on an iterative reformulation of raw percepts into a structural description of perceptions.
