Abstract: this paper we examine a particular approach to unpack the intent behind the notion of "minimal loss of information " that has been adopted and made popular by Gardenfors and Makinson (GM) [GM94]. This approach is based on an ordering over the "expectations" of an reasoning agent. In this approach, a reasoner infers from exactly when is "more expected in light of" than its negation : . We argue that this approach to plausible inference is rather permissive in sanctioning inferences that... (Update)
