Abstract: B. These are both started (sampled) simultaneously and allowed to run to completion once, as in gure 1. Fig. 1. The residual distributions A 1 and B 1 in the event that B nishes rst and A nishes rst, respectively. In gure 1 we have conditioned the A and B events on the premise that either A completes rst, or B completes rst. This is because we want our residual to be a positive random variable. As can be seen from the diagram, if A nishes rst then there is a residual amount of B... (Update)
