Abstract: Active networking introduces tremendous flexibility that enables users to rapidly deploy new services in a network. By performing computations within the network these services provide the user with sophisticated capabilities that cannot be achieved using traditional networks. In this paper we introduce two new prototype services called mSMTP and mHTTP.
