Abstract: INTRODUCTION The collision test suggested by H. Delgas Christiansen in 1975 is among the foremost statistical tests for random number generators. The test simulates throwing balls randomly into urns. The number of urns, m, is usually a power of 2 and the destination of a ball is determined by m 2 log bits produced by the generator being tested. When a ball falls into an urn that is already 2 occupied, a collision occurs. The collision test counts the number of collisions, c. A random number ... (Update)
