Abstract: This paper shows how one such application led to the development of a Prolog programming environment that can support a flavour of parallelism, as well as full Prolog syntax and semantics. The system is a prototype, inefficient and slow. Its performance, and some possible future improvements are mentioned. It also has some advantages, in its portability and simplicity, because it is based on a meta-interpreter. It could potentially be used as an experimental testbed for trying out various ideas ...
