Abstract: Robust signaling methods are very important when designing circuits in deep submicron (DSM) technologies. This is because the increased integration has caused very high increases in the RLC parasitics which affect the coupling of noise to signals propagating over interconnect. The difficulty of guaranteeing error-free signaling even at chip level when the feature size approaches 0.1 and 0.05 micro metres, will eventually demand a new design and architecture paradigm.
