Abstract:
has been shown to eciently use transmit diversity to increase spectral eciency. Trellis codes can be used to jointly optimize diversity and coding gain, whereas another diversity scheme called \Space-Time Block Codes " only optimizes diversity. In this contribution we propose new trellis codes found through systematic code search. These codes achieve the theoretically maximal diversity gain and improve on coding gain compared to known codes.
