Abstract: Current Internet routing technology is not capable of supporting the continuous growth of traffic and the high bandwidth demands of multimedia applications. The future Internet will need to be able to support applications such as videoconferencing, by increasing router performance and providing some guarantees regarding the quality of service (QoS) the application receives. This paper reviews the proposed future routing technologies put forward by several networking companies which aim to meet... (Update)
