Abstract: The question of whether technologies supporting mobile code are bringing significant benefits to the design and implementation of distributed applications is still an open one. Even more difficult is to identify precisely under which conditions a design exploiting mobile code is preferable over a traditional one. In this work, we present an in-depth evaluation of several mobile code design paradigms against the traditional client-server architecture, within the application domain of network... (Update)
