Abstract: This memorandum is a substantial revision and update of RFC-1589, "A Kernel Model for Precision Timekeeping," [MIL94a]. It contains information from a technical report of the same name in PostScript format [MIL94b], together with some new information. This revision includes several changes to the daemon and user interfaces to provide more detail in performance monitoring and to support symmetric multiprocessor systems.
