Abstract: this paper, in which
we draw on several sources to produce a recommended list of capability attributes for problem
solving methods. In an example in section 4, we apply these attributes to one PSM from the CommonKADS
library of generic inference structures; generic inference structures can be viewed as
conceptual-level (implementation-independent) PSMs. (Update)
