Abstract: Cooperative Information Systems (CISs) have to manage with data located in different large information repositories distributed over communication networks. Multidatabase systems have been proposed as a solution to work with different pre-existing autonomous databases. Query processing in multidatabase systems requires a particular study because of the autonomy and heterogeneity of the component databases.
