Abstract:

The aim of this document is to develop a conceptual architecture which can be used as a common language in discussions of the role of student modelling in intelligent learning environments. The architecture attempts to integrate empirical, computational and theoretical aspects of the problem. The architecture, christened DORMORBILE (a DOmain, Reasoning, MOnitoring and Reflection Basis for Intelligent Learning Environments), distinguishes the various levels of agent knowledge.
