Abstract: Recent advances in micro-technology and mobile robotics have enabled the development
of extremely small, automated vehicles for new application frontiers.
One of these possible applications is the use of miniature robotic vehicles
equipped with on-board science instruments for planetary surface exploration.
One such vehicle is being developed as part of a technology research task at the
Jet Propulsion Laboratory. A rover prototype has been integrated into a package
of several hundred grams in... (Update)
